The permafrost and active layer monitoring system is under constraction. The long term ground temperature detection system represents the whole section of the giant volcano, which is the highest massif of the driest mountain region of the World. The monitoring system will have a wide altitude range: from 4000 to the summit, 6739 m asl. The cryosphere, ground-temperature and groundwater research will work parallely with the high mountain microbiological analyses.
